Therapy Programs
The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute at The OSU Medical Center allows for progressive research, and treatment. It provides educational programs for health care professionals, cancer patients and the public.
The Radiation Therapy Program was established in 1987 and is a 12 month certificate program open to registered or registry eligible Radiographers. The program is accredited by The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology, 20 N. Wacker Drive, Suite 900, Chicago, IL 60606-2901, (301) 704-5300.
The program's goal is to educate and train students to meet the professional standards required of a competent Radiation Therapist. Students are trained in technical skills needed to plan, deliver, and record a prescribed course of therapy and to provide an understanding of the treatments.
