Research

The Department of Radiation Medicine is an integral part of the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute and the Ohio State University. We provide leading edge state-of-art and compassionate patient care in the scholarly environment enriched with excellence in research and education.

Clinical trials play an important role in the fight against cancer by offering patients the most advanced treatment options available. Patients have access to novel cancer therapies many of which are only available at The James. Many trials at The James are investigator-initiated which means that Ohio State cancer researchers are developing and translating new discoveries into new therapies and first-time treatments.

Through our Clinical Trials section, you'll learn what a clinical trial is, which specific clinical trials are currently taking place at OSU and how you can connect with a complete listing of clinical trials available through the National Cancer Institute's Web site.

The OSU CCC - James offers some of the most sophisticated cancer treatments available. As an academic medical institution, we are constantly expanding our research endeavors through clinical trials. We have recruited internationally acclaimed cancer experts, acquired significant new funding for scientific studies and earned a number of prestigious honors and awards for our research.

The OSU CCC - James is committed to conducting innovative cancer research that translates into improved treatment and prevention.
